Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF)

CARES Act Funds

  1. Upper Iowa University has signed and returned to the Department the Certification and Agreement for Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students. Upper Iowa University intends to use, no less than 50 percent of the funds received under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students.

Minority Grant Funds

CRRSA Act Funds

Upper Iowa University intends to use, no less than the amount of CARES funds disbursed to students under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students under Section 314(a)(4) of the CRRSA Act.

  6. Upper Iowa set its parameters for these funds to be sent to students who are enrolled in the Spring 2020-2021 semester, with a zero Expected Family Contribution (EFC) as calculated from the FAFSA and who have an unmet need of zero. Students must have completed a FAFSA to qualify for this grant.

Supplemental Minority Grant Funds
